Instructions About Knitted Baby Hat
Knitted baby hat is truly the most precious thing that you can ever do for your kid because it’s made with lot of love and affection. Well, there are many types of hat patterns that you can knit but for the beginners, they really need to know the basics about knitting a hat.
A baby hat is a very special gift so it takes some time. All you will need is medium weight cotton or Wool yarn depending on the size of the hat you are willing to make, then you will need one set of four size 7 US double-pointed needles with scissors, yarn needle and a stitch maker if essential. Coming towards the gauge, you will need 22 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches in the single rib.
Now starting up with knitting a baby hat for a new born, six months to one year, one to two years and three to four years, firstly, cats on 54 (68,72,82,86) stitches, then distribute on three double pointed needles and place a stitch maker at the end of the row if needed.
Now start knitting in single rib. Now coming towards its shape, after doing all this, continue with shaping the crown, knit the rest of the hat and finally when it’s done, break yarn. Thread a yarn needle and slip the remaining stitches onto the needle and pull tight, then, for its completion weave in ends. Well, mostly all the baby clothing patterns are all worked in 3 ply 100% nylon baby yarns because this yarn is quite durable and easy to care for.
A knitted baby hat is very easy to carry if you are travelling with your baby to some place. It will not only help to protect your baby but will also make your baby look cute. Some of the different knitted baby hat patterns are 2 color caps, baby cheery hat, baby summer hat and many more.
Knitting a 2 color hat is quite easy, all you need to have is two collared wool. If you want to try something unique and cute for your baby, then you can rather go for some accessories that can be added to the hat you have knitted.
For a baby girl you can try girly stuff with pink color accessories and on the other hand, for baby boys, you can look for accessories that your son likes. In addition to all this always keep in mind to design your baby hat according to his/her personal choice if your baby is young enough to choose his/her liking and taste.
